The P.U.L.L. strategy was created by Distinguished Teacher Shareefah Mason to address the needs of urban students in the Dallas Independent School District in Dallas, TX. When the state assessment changed from an essential skills test to a more rigorous, critical-thinking assessment, STAAR, students needed HELP!!!!
The P.U.L.L. strategy is a multi-discipline testing strategy that focuses students on information that they know opposed to attempting to dissect unfamiliar information. This strategy has increased Social Studies scores at some of Dallas’ most struggling middle schools for the last 5 years. Check out the P.U.L.L. strategy below!
